Eyelid surgery improves the appearance of the upper eyelids, lower eyelids, or both, and gives a rejuvenated appearance to the surrounding area of your eyes. This procedure effectively treats drooping eyelids, and puffiness below the eyes.
Where are the incisions made?
Dr. Garber will make incisions along the natural creases of the upper eyelids, and just below the eyelashes for the lower eyelids to remove excess skin, fat and/or muscle. Dr. Garber will then remove excess skin, muscle, and fat as necessary to produce the desired result.
When I can resume normal activities?
Straining, bending and lifting should be avoided during the early postoperative period. You will be instructed in post op care as to when you can return to normal activites.
A face lift, or rhytidectomy, is a surgical procedure used to correct sagging jowls, reduce facial wrinkles, eliminate signs of aging, and improve the overall appearance of the face and jaw area. Face lift surgery can help tolessen the harmful effects of sun exposure, heredity and personal habits. Dr. Garber will discuss reasonable expectations for face lift results, depending upon the facial bone structure, degree of skin elasticity and specific problems to be addressed by the face lift procedure.
Browlift or forehead lift procedures improve drooping eyebrows and forehead lines and wrinkles caused by the sun, wind, and the effects of aging. In order to obtain the best results, the browlift is often combined with other procedures such as eyelid surgery or face lift surgery.
The necklift is a procedure designed to give better definition to the neck line, lessen wrinkling, and diminish unsightly ‘banding’ in the neck caused from the neck muscles separating and hanging. Neck rejuvenation surgery can provide dramatic results, especially when combined with other rejuvenating procedures.
Actual Patients
Ear surgery, or otoplasty, is usually done to set prominent ears back closer to the head, reshape deformed ears or to reduce the size of large ears. Otoplasty is one of the few cosmetic procedures appropriate for children and can be performed on children as young as four years old, when the ears are almost fully developed. Otoplasty can greatly enhance a person’s appearance and self-esteem and make some of the most significant differences in how people live the rest of their lives.
